Sometimes it is the craziest little thing. I don’t know if these details are useful but it may help to pinpoint the problem. I know I have full write privs to the destination folder on my Mac side. The time after that, it doesn’t seem to create an image file at all. The next time I ran it, it save an incomplete image file Zero K in size. Tech observation: the first time I ran it, it saved an incomplete image file about 1.9GB in size before I got the error dialog. I ran chkdsk /b twice and it completed without complain after about 10 minutes on both occasions. Try running chkdsk /b when booted in Windows to repair and try again. However, when I click on Save Image and choose a local folder within my User folder on my Mac’s internal SSD, I get an error dialog box almost immediately. The Winclone 5 software install was quick and painless. Everything is working fine right now but I’d like a proper backup of my Boot Camp partition.
I have OS X 10.9.5 and am running Windows 7 SP1 on Boot Camp. Hello, I’m brand new to Winclone and I just purchased Winclone 5 for my iMac.
